What do you do when you've got a big 4x8 table of urban terrain setup after a mini-convention? You play Mech Attack on it, which four of us did recently. We usually play Mech Attack at the club using 10mm Scale rebased Mechwarrior Clix miniatures. However, we do have a stock for 28mm mechs for convention games... They are made from a variety of model kits, toys, and wargame models: Notable addition this time was Jon's fantastic Mercenary Lance. These are hard-to-find Resin models of actual Battletech Mechs from a variety of sources. Paired with the Grey Lance: L to R. Robotech Toy, 2 Macross ...

Thanks for running this! It was my first time trying out the Mech Attack ruleset and I quite liked some of the interesting game mechanisms. (I did purchase the ruleset bundle on Black Friday! :))
It captures most of what Battletech classic does but with some more streamlining; much easier to teach.

The group's collection of larger scale mechs is most impressive! I also enjoyed the fact that as an adult I got to once again play with a toy I had as a kid. Haha.

So glad you finally got a chance to play Mech Attack and even better that we happened to be using a bit of your childhood! It was a club staple early on, but hasn't gotten as much action recently.

Your observations match exactly my feelings regarding the experience compared to Battletech.
