Request for blog posts!

Postby jlopatin » Mon Apr 24, 2017 10:43 am

Calling all members! We are in need of blog posts!

Karl, Tim, and I have been really stepping up the last few weeks to keep fresh content coming, but I'd love to see stories from other people. We are open to any gaming or miniature related posts. If you have an idea for a non-gaming post that may be relevant to our readers, I'm happy to discuss the idea with you.

In April, we have more than doubled our readership. Let's keep the trend going!

If you want to write a blog post, please direct message me here. I'll grant you "writer" access to the blog, and you can submit all the stories you'd like! Stories do not need to be long. Short posts are welcome. Pictures are very important, though, so remember to include them.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Potential idea list:

tutorials
photos of recent completed terrain/minis
battle reports
reviews (of minis, games, rulesets- new OR old, terrain, game related apps, game shops)
fluff about your favorite minis
coverage of an event you attended
anything else!

Ah, this was the post you were talking about. Let me put my writing cap on and see what I can get going.

X-wing articles are okay! I bet you have some other ideas as well.

Agreed. I like writing posts, but I think the blog is always at it's best when there are a variety of contributors.

Just a reminder that we've had a rather wide range of posts in the past. A couple oddities that might get you thinking about other things to write.

Opinion pieces such as my thoughts on the value of painting...

... or some praise of Games Worskhop?!?!

Interview and retrospective of an older Chicago gamer and painter who doesn't belong to CSW:

Just saw Josh's fb message about contributions. I could probably regale a tale or two when I find some time. I'm always dabbling with something. I'm scrambling this week to get my Frostgrave demo stuff ready, but I'm sure there will be some pics from that, I have been posting a lot of progress shots on fb.

I won't be able to make much completely new content for a while, but I'll make sure to take all the pictures necessary for my 3 written-but-not-completed 28mm spaceship blog posts so they can go into the queue.

Also I'll do a series of posts on the terrain I'm making for MIke.

Thanks for putting out the call for new contributors the blog is definitely at it's best when there ares more talents/persepctives/participants involved.
