The Walking Dead All Out War

Postby Fiveangels » Thu May 04, 2017 12:08 am

Has anyone tried this system? I have yet to read a bad review, seems to have a lot of praise. I'm going to pick it up and see how it is, as I'm a fan of the comic

I acquired the full set, a huge pile of boxes, at Adepticon. I have played through the solo scenarios, and think it is a very well done, fast playing ruleset. I'm planning on adapting it to use for our yearly zombie game this year.

It will be a while before my set gets painted, but I'd love to get some games in.

Josh, I will try a few practice games this weekend but will want to give this a try face to face in the near future. I am in Lincoln Square, what part of the city are you in?

Hello Tim, once I have the rules down I be happy to host if Josh is up for meeting us up North. Almost all my terrain is 40k, Necromunda or WW2 Europe. I am assembling modern terrain as we speak but it would not be painted (or the models) by next weekend...unless I become obsessed.

Josh, would you be interested in having us come South at some point or do you want to drive up here? My neighborhood has no permit parking and street parking is not an issue. Additionally, what do you like best about the system?

I can come north, or you guys can come south. I have tons of modern terrain.

My favorite part about the system is the autopilot zombies, and how the game represents zombie horde attacks.

I also like the threat tracker... It really creates a tense environment.

Well, since I have nothing painted or prepared, I guess I will invite myself South when it is convenient for you. Tim and Karl can vouch for me not being a fool (I hope) or a Replicant.

sure. we can set something up soon. I don't have any of the minis painted, but between Tim and I we probably have enough painted minis to stand in for them!

Not this coming week, but maybe the week after we can try it out.
