ValorCon- is anyone going?
ValorCon is happening in the loop October 16-18. It appears to be a video gaming convention with some tabletop RPGs. It might have board or miniatures games, but they are hard to find on the schedule.

Going to be tough for me since it is my mother's BDAY, I think I can make the Sunday 18th though.
John told me that they would be demoing some Infinity and lo and behold it's on the main page.
Anyone want to meet up that Sunday and push me over the edge into going?

Well, Matt and I went to this.
While I was happy to support a new local convention, We paid the $25/person entry fee for basically nothing. There were not enough events, people, or vendors to make it worthwhile.
Matt and I found a table and played some newly purchased board games for a few hours, and that was fun. My wife joined us for a bit. They made her pay the entry fee just to sit at a table with us.
To sum up: fun day, disappointing con.

Yeah, I have a feeling that they thought doing a Kickstarter was going to be enough marketing. Cool space and if they lose the focus on super smash bros and what have you they can see some growth next year. If they courted some local gaming groups I think they could get a few fun events going. The location was good and plenty convenient to get to.
I would go again next year to try and help it get off the ground. Hell if I had known about it more than a month in advance when they had fliers at my FLGS then I may even have volunteered for a day this year.

Was there Sunday. We did a very small infinity tournament.
I'd like to see it continue and grow, it is a cool space.

Also stopped by on Sunday to see what they were up to. The space was cool. But, they are moving to a hotel next year. It will be interesting what they can offer when the space is not quite so plentiful.
I got to try Artemis and play a beta version of Cromlech, but $25 was a bit steep for that.

$25 is a lot to just play Artemis. Although, bringing that up does kind of make me want to have an Artemis party.
