Ok, that's everything that I can think of. I guess there are a couple of Hobbytown USAs, and GW stores, but I wasn't going to bother listing chains. There might be some CCG-focused places I'm unaware of too. I think there might even be one of those near my home, I'll have to check into that.
Is there anything in the malls since Gamer's Paradise (and the WotC stores before it) closed several years ago? I don't go to malls much.

Berwyn's Toys and Trains Doesn't have wargaming stuff, but they have quite alot of "O" scale buildings and vehicles. Sometimes they have used vehicles and buildings at reasonable prices. Also glue, plastruct, etc...
http://www.berwynstoytrains.com
America's Best is roughly the same (no games), but they are bigger and have alot of interesting used stuff.

Maybe split the list to have a section of just non-game hobby stores?

I believe there's still a Gamers World in Woodfield, I saw it last time I was there about a couple of months ago. They did move to another part of the mall though. Same small selection of GW and roleplaying stuff but plenty of M:TG and board games.

Sean at Brainstorm has been pushing for more gaming, stocked some X Wing and is looking for ideas on what minis line to carry.
Their knee jerk reaction was 40K but I told them to hold their horses unless there is a small fortune laying around to launch that line.

Good magic singles! I would stop by before my office moved and pick some stuff up there, but I have to admit the mini selection there was a bit lacking. I bet they could special order stuff for you, well at least the half of the staff that were (very) helpful and (very) courteous could.

Great question, I've split it off into its own thread.

Lindsay's Gamer Garrison
415 West Liberty Street
Wauconda, Illinois
(847) 624-0024
Anyone looking for a shop deep in the northwest burbs?
Small Sales area, good gaming spaces. 40k and Infinity seem the primary lines.
Star Wars XWing, Armada, and Star Trek Attack Wing are stocked and played. And Magic, of course.
The owner, Andrew W., is willing to order what he doesn't have on the shelf. There is a FaceBook presence if you want to know more.
