Robots, robots, robots!

Postby ccprince » Tue Nov 07, 2023 12:07 pm

Here it is, the first step towards no longer having to borrow an army. This is 2000 points worth of Grimdark Future Robot Legions.

Oh, man, now I gotta paint 'em all...

I like everything about this! The necro-meets-trade-federation aesthetic is so well done.

Luckily robots can be fast to paint if you're willing to go with a metalic drybrushed base.

I'm going for more of a "Star Wars battle droid" scheme -- desert-y colors, and not primarily metallic. I've done some slapchop tests, and if I'm suitably sloppy with the drybrushed zenithal, they look good and grubby.

That sounds excellent. Can't wait to see them done up!

That sounds great. Maybe a burned red color for elite units?

When they're done I'll stat up my WOTC prepainted Clone troopers and we can have a SW battle!
